Our Story
For nearly 20 years, Sanders International has been developing solutions for industrial, commercial, and residential air filtration needs. Our focus has always been simple — design filtration systems that perform better, last longer, and protect the air people breathe every day.
Sanders International was founded by Scott Sanders after years working in the filtration industry beginning in 1985. In 1988, after developing a new manufacturing process using ultrasonic welding, Scott formed Sanders International Corporation to create filter products that solved real problems in demanding environments. Early work focused on vertical transportation filtration, pre-filter wraps, blow-out bags, and custom applications for elevator systems, where removing carbon and fine particulate from the air was critical. As filtration technology evolved, so did our products, leading to the development of new filter media that changed the way many companies approached air filtration.
Over time, it became clear that the air quality challenges found in industrial settings also existed in homes, hospitals, schools, and everyday businesses. Standard HVAC filters were often unable to capture the smallest and most harmful particles, many of which are submicron in size. This realization led to the development of a new generation of containment filtration designed to remove permanently suspended particulates without requiring modification to existing HVAC systems.
In the past decade, Sanders International introduced a line of high-efficiency containment filters capable of capturing submicron particles that may include pathogens associated with hospital-acquired infections, airborne contaminants, and other harmful particulates. These systems are now used in hospitals, nursing homes, schools, food processing facilities, commercial buildings, and residential applications — anywhere clean air is essential.
A key advancement in our design is the Sanders Containment Filter combined with the Total Protection System (TPS) Frame. The filter uses a flat-cut pad housed in a durable TPS frame engineered specifically to eliminate bypass and ensure that all air passes through the filtration media. The frame features flexible PVC gasket edges for a superior seal and is built for long service life.
Unlike traditional disposable filters, Sanders containment filters use fully recyclable filter media, reducing waste while maintaining high filtration performance. The TPS frame itself is designed for long-term reuse, allowing the filter media to be replaced without discarding the entire assembly. This approach provides both environmental benefits and long-term cost savings while delivering superior air quality.
Our goal has always been to solve filtration problems others could not. We take pride in developing custom solutions for unique applications and in helping customers improve air quality in environments where performance matters most. We believe cleaner air should not be limited to specialized facilities — it should be available everywhere people live and work.
For nearly two decades, our commitment has remained the same: design better filters, use better materials, and provide solutions that protect both equipment and the people who depend on clean air every day.

OUR TEAM
We are a family owned & family run company. However, we have a worldwide distribution network with distributor throughout the United States and around the world. We have the capability to help with any size building in order to help you provide sub-micron filtered air to you, your family, employees, & communities!
