At Sanders International, we have specialized in designing and developing unique filter applications for nearly 20 years. I am Scott Sanders, founder and owner of Sanders International. I was a clinical psychologist until 1982. In 1985 I began my career in the filtration industry. In 1988, I began Sanders International Corporation after developing a new unique manufacturing process for air filters using ultrasonic welding. This company has specialized in not only vertical transportation (elevator) filters, pre-filter wraps, and blow out bags, but we also created the Sanders Containment Filter. I designed Sanders International to be a company that would solve the issues with air filtration at the time. At the beginning, much of this had to do with filtering carbon out of the air which was created from generators used to power elevators, however as our knowledge about filtration evolved, as did our filters. We developed a material (filter media) that revolutionized the way elevator companies looked at filtration. 

 

While in the industry, I began to realize the amount of particles, many of which can be harmful, we breathe in every day just in our homes and everyday businesses we visit. This lead me to the realization that commercial and residential air filters for heating and cooling systems were barely scratching the surface of filtering out harmful particles, many of which were submicron.  Knowing this, I set out to find a way to fix that, for me and my family to breathe the cleanest air possible in our home and the businesses we frequent, and for others to have to opportunity to do the same.

In the past 10 years, we have developed and introduced a new line of high-efficiency containment filters to contain and remove permanently suspended submicron particulates in facilities and residences. Importantly, the filter works in your standard HVAC system and requires NO modification to your current HVAC system. These sub-micron particles can include pathogens that are among the causes of Hospital Acquired Infections (HAI’s) and also contribute to pandemics such as Influenza and COVID-19. The containment system is ideal for diverse applications including hospitals, nursing homes, schools, food processing, bottling companies, shopping markets, and hotels; anywhere clean air is critical. Part of our motivation to pioneer this system is to assist in the reduction of ever present hospital acquired infections.

The filter a flat-cut pad and we house this pad in a eco-friendly, reusable for up to 10 years Total Protection System (TPS) Frame. Our TPS Frame was built specifically for our Sanders Containment Filter and has flexible PVC gasket edges which virtually eliminate bypass -- which insures all your air is properly filtered.
